The creators of Running for the Hills are both trail running enthusiasts, having enjoyed the sport for a great number of years. Their running endeavours are not just limited to their time on the trails and training for ultra marathons, they do also have a keen interest in running as a whole and helping others to get the most out of this pursuit. This is why they considered trail running experts, well poised to offer training advice, reviews and the benefit of their experience.

Sheryl Selway

Sheryl is the resident geek and created the website as a way to combine her love for running with her professional role as the owner of Engage Digital Media Ltd. She knows a thing or two about content writing which is just as well.

Sheryl is a member of Weston Athletic Club and as a Level 2 UKA Coach in Running Fitness, regularly coaches athletes to achieve new PBs in various distances as well as being the Race Director for the Local Weston Prom Series. She also supports  North Somerset Athletic Club and the training and development of junior athletes.

When she gets time, you will find her somewhere on a local trail testing out new shoes and equipment while putting in the miles for her next ultra marathon.

Jason Wyatt

Jason is the quality control officer for the site, which is a polite way of saying he basically edits all of Sheryl’s work as well as using his expertise and experience to write coaching articles and provide advice.

Jason is a member of Weston Athletic Club and a UKA Coach in Running Fitness & holds the UKA Event Group Endurance qualification. He also coaches at North Somerset Athletics Club and is a UKA Track Official. To add to this impressive list of accolades, he is the Race Director for the Weston Christmas Cracker 10k.

Again, Jason will be found exploring local trails when he gets the chance.

We are both passionate about running and sharing our enjoyment with others which is why we could be considered ‘trail running experts’. The products that we review are tried and tested by us and our peers and we only recommend what we would be happy to wear ourselves with honest and frank feedback.
